The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), the UMBC Center for Information Security and Assurance (CISA), VSPR , FairVote and the National Center for the Study of Elections (NCSE) will host an open forum for voting system researchers, election officials, voting equipment manufacturers, policy makers, as well as disabilities and other advocates to discuss the proposed draft Voluntary Voting System Guidelines.
This first workshop is being held in response to requests for an open forum to discuss the proposed VVSG. It will provide an opportunity for all interested parties to come together and discuss these important recommendations of the Election Assistance Commission’s Technical Guidelines Development Committee.
The workshop will comprise a series of stakeholder panels interleaved with substantial time for attendee participation aimed at allowing everyone a chance to speak if only briefly. The afternoon will be reserved for breakout sessions and discussion of next steps.
For questions regarding the workshop, please send an email to vvsg@itif.org.
